What it does
- Finds individual drum hits and adjusts the level of each, instead of changing gain on every sample.
- Evens out hit levels and removes leakage and ambience between hits.
- Shapes the envelope of each hit, for a longer body or faster release.
- Two parallel resonant band-pass filters in the event detector home in on the main frequencies of a drum.
- Looks 20 ms ahead by default, and can be set below 5 ms for live use.
