How the seats work
- Every seat
- Everything in Pro: unlimited loads and mapped keys, the remote on any device, Stream Deck keys, SoundFlow commands, Pro Tools inserts through SoundFlow, Load variants, the Sidecar and Mini shapes, loading through AudioSuite, and checking a Live set before you open it.
- One key
- Everyone enters the same license key. There is no admin console to set up and no accounts to create.
- Counted per computer
- A seat is spent by a computer, Mac or PC, not by a person. Several people sharing one machine still only use one seat.
- Seats come back
- Deactivating Plugindex on a computer frees its seat immediately, so a replaced or reimaged machine costs you nothing.
- Updates
- Every seat gets one year of updates from the date of purchase, and keeps working after that.
Schools and universities
The pack prices above already apply to teaching labs, and a pack is usually the simplest way to cover a room. If you need a different seat count, a quote to hand to a purchasing department, an invoice payable on terms, or a W-9, email support@plugindex.app and say roughly how many machines you are covering.
Packs are meant for machines you control, a lab or a studio, because every seat in a pack shares one key. If your school or university wants students running Plugindex on their own laptops, ask for a class discount code instead. It's for accredited schools and universities: each student buys their own license with their own key, the code is capped to the size of your class, and what they buy stays theirs after they graduate.
A student or teacher buying Pro for their own computer gets 50% off. Email support@plugindex.app from your school address, or with a photo of a current student or staff card, and we'll send you a code.
